Tips: Veterinarians in Austin should be your pets second best friend. It's important for the head vet to be a leader, but also remember he/she usually works with a team of technicians, secretaries and care providers with assistants. So evaluate all fronts, not just the head veterinarian. Location will usually be the biggest factor, however I know I'd happily drive 30min to a fantastic vet!

A pet health provider in Austin should be clean, comfortable, and well-organized! Do they send you appointment reminders or holiday greeting cards?

Also look to see how the pets are caged when staying over night. Do the cages have toys, blankets and enough food and water. Are the cages clean? Laws in Texas dictate how veterinarians are to conduct their over night guests.
